I became interested in fishing at a young age when my family got a summer cottage in Mattapoisett, MA in 2000. As a child, I would spend most of my days during the summer and weekends on the neighborhood jetty trying to catch anything I could. My early exposure to fishing turned into an obsession that still continues to this day, and will continue for the rest of my life. When I got older and started to use better gear, I was not able to find exactly what I wanted from a factory built fishing rod. I had no option but to start building my own rods to meet my needs. As operations manager at ZCR, I follow this same idea that every rod we build should perfectly match the needs and wants of the customer that is ordering it. Attention to detail and perfection is a priority with every rod that leaves the shop, and every rod gets the time that it deserves. I enjoy seeing a customers rod turn out exactly as they envision it, just like my first rod did for me years ago.

I am happily married with two grown children. I enjoy boating and spending time on the local river with family and friends in the summer. I love being creative making crafts, mostly sewing. When it comes to sewing projects, I am very detail oriented. When I heard, Zack was looking to fill a position threading fishing rods, it was clear this opportunity was right up my alley. I enjoy being creative and detailed at my job and love working with the ZCR crew. Not only are they very talented at what they do, but they have such expertise and the highest standards. Most of all, I am very proud to be part of this team and look forward to future master pieces we will be creating and building together.

Sam was born and raised on Martha's Vineyard and recently moved to the Westport, MA area to live with his fiancé, Olivia and his dog, Augie (sorry ladies, he's off the market). Sam's true love is fishing from the surf but fished from a boat with his grandfather since he was a kid. Most knowledgeable with false Albacore fishing and surf techniques Sam is at home wherever there are waves.

I was born and raised in New Bedford, MA. I’m a student at GNBVT Bears and chasing my dreams of playing in college one day at the division 1 level. One of my favorite things to do in my free time is fish. I find it very relaxing and stress free. I’m very happy I came upon working with ZCR. I’ve learned so much and has been the perfect environment for me.

Hi there, my name is Will Davies. I am currently a student at Providence College, and I’ve worked at ZCR for two summers now. I’ve been saltwater fishing my entire life, both inshore and offshore for most of the species our waters have to offer. I have fished and will continue to fish ZCR rods myself, and I truly believe they are the best you will find in the Northeast.

Jenna is the youngest member of the ZCR team. Hailing from Acushnet, Jenna first got the fishing bug helping her father epoxy lures in the garage. From Giant Tuna to Inshore bass rods, Jenna appreciates working on beautiful custom colorways while listening to some relaxing tunes.
